About Us
The River Community Church is formerly the First Baptist Church of the 1000 Islands, a congregation that has served the spiritual needs of the Clayton community since 1840. We have a long and rich history of proclaiming the Gospel message, meeting real needs and reaching people for Jesus Christ.
God blessed our congregation with spiritual and numerical growth until we outgrew the historic facility on John Street at the Park. Our new campus was completed and our congregation relocated in 2009, at which time we became The River Community Church.
We are affiliated with the American Baptist Churches USA through North Country American Baptist
